Links Medical Practice

GP Vacancy, 4-8 Sessions per week, flexible start date

Due to retirement, we are looking for a GP to join our friendly, flexible, forward thinking family at Links Medical Practice to help continue providing a high standard of care for our 8,500 patients.

Links Medical Practice is located in the pleasant tree-lined surroundings of the old City Hospital site, with ample parking, close to the beach and city centre amenities.

We have an excellent team, including six GP partners, salaried GP, advanced nurse practitioner, pharmacist, and a very experienced practice nursing team. We are also an approved training practice which takes foundation doctors, GP trainees and medical students. We are co-located in our purpose-built premises with our health visiting and district nursing teams.

We pride ourselves in good communication within the whole practice team and have regular social activities, enjoyed by all.

Aberdeen is a vibrant, multicultural, cosmopolitan city with good local schools, two universities and the largest hospital campus on one site in Europe. There is easy access to many attractions in Grampian and the Highlands.  Outdoor activities include walking, climbing, skiing, cycling, surfing, plus the castle and whisky trails.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagGood diagnostic and treatment facilities are available at the surgery and, if you are able to get there, we can treat you more effectively. In general, home visits are only intended for those who are too ill to come to the surgery. If you do not have a car, you should arrange a lift from a relative or friend or take a taxi. Very few, if any, illnesses are made worse by a short car journey.

If a visit is deemed medically necessary by the doctor we will arrange this. If you require a home visit contact the surgery (dial 0345 337 6340 then press 2) and give the receptionist details so that the doctor can assess the urgency of the call.

Please call before 10:00am with house call requests

The visiting doctor may not always be your usual doctor.
