Links Medical Practice


GP Vacancy, 4-8 Sessions per week, flexible start date


 


Due to retirement, we are looking for a GP to join our friendly, flexible, forward thinking family at Links Medical Practice to help continue providing a high standard of care for our 8,500 patients. 


 


Links Medical Practice is located in the pleasant tree-lined surroundings of the old City Hospital site, with ample parking, close to the beach and city centre amenities.


 


We have an excellent team, including six GP partners, salaried GP, advanced nurse practitioner, pharmacist, and a very experienced practice nursing team. We are also an approved training practice which takes foundation doctors, GP trainees and medical students. We are co-located in our purpose-built premises with our health visiting and district nursing teams.


 


We pride ourselves in good communication within the whole practice team and have regular social activities, enjoyed by all.


 


Aberdeen is a vibrant, multicultural, cosmopolitan city with good local schools, two universities and the largest hospital campus on one site in Europe. There is easy access to many attractions in Grampian and the Highlands.  Outdoor activities include walking, climbing, skiing, cycling, surfing, plus the castle and whisky trails.

Medical Students – the practice has been involved in the teaching of medical students from the University of Aberdeen for many years. This means that a Medical Student may be present with the doctor during your consultation. If you wish to be seen on your own then please speak to the receptionist or doctor and this will arranged. 

Foundation Year 2 (Junior Doctors) – the practice is involved in the training of junior doctors, who shall consult with patients during their 4 month attachment.
