The Practice does not send sick lines by email. All sick lines must be collected in person from reception.
Rationale
Emailing sick lines is not secure enough for confidential medical information. Emails can go to the wrong person, get hacked, or be seen by unauthorised people.
Procedure
Collection of sick lines: Patients must collect their sick line from reception during normal opening hours. Photo ID is required.
If patient cannot attend: A relative may collect the sick line on the patient's behalf. The relative must bring the patient's photo ID to prove they are collecting it for the patient.
No exceptions: The practice does not post sick lines or provide confirmation letters to employers. All sick lines must be collected in person.
